Club Information

SAAMBR is located in Brisbane, Capital of Queensland Australia. SAAMBR is one of Queenslands largest model aeroplane clubs. We are located on the north side of Brisbane at the end of Elizabeth Road in Griffin. Club membership varies throughout the year, however we average around 150 members. SAAMBR caters primarily to Radio Controlled model aircraft and helicopters, with nearly all facets of the hobby enjoyed by our members. We offer training for those interested in learning to fly a radio controlled model aircraft or helicopter and our longer term members are always willing to give advice to the newer members on building techniques etc. Further information on how to contact us is listed below. If you are at all interested in learning to fly R/C or would like to see the aircraft operating come along to the field. There is activity every morning (weather permitting) and our busiest times are all day on weekends.

How to find us
If you are in Brisbane.

Heading north on the Bruce Highway, cross the Pine River bridge. Take the Dohles Rocks Rd exit and turn right into Dohles Rocks Rd. First left into Henry Rd and then first right into Elizabeth Rd and follow the signs.

From the North take the Anzac Ave. exit and turn right into Anzac Ave. At the first lights turn left into Bray Rd. Follow this back over the Highway and veer right at the junction. Look for Elizabeth Road on the left.
