Secretaries Report. The committee has decided to inspect the field and the parking area on Friday 26th June and report to the General Meeting that night where a decision by the members will be made as to, go ahead, postpone or cancel the air show. The new field committee has started to meet separately as there are so many separate items that have to be covered to bring this together. As I am heavily involved with the New Field committee I will be standing down from the position of PRO for the club. So if you can full this position please give serious thought to taking up the challenge I am sure many of you attended the Heli Fun Fly last Sunday. All I can say is " Daniel, fantastic job". I receipted, 38 paying pilots and they had eaten Franks Diner out of food by 1pm. Gordon will be able to fill you in on how much the club made from the event. Else where in Airwaves you will see the Safety Review Report and their recommendations for the members to consider and vote upon. Also don't forget to vote for your choice of the new Club name. Don't forget the Members BBQ on Saturday 4th July. Please advise a committee member if you will be attending. I am sorry I have to end this report on a distasteful note, but I am appalled and disappointed at the members and their treatment of our landlord, Sid. Yes, we all joke about who did the pub run for Sid. To see yourselves, you would think Sid was asking you to drop your strides on the spot for a prostate examination, rather than 10 minutes of your time. Please give Sid the same courtesy that he gives you, he always asks if you have had a fly before he asks to be taken up to the tavern. Also please remember that we as a club only have our existing infrastructure and field because of the understanding of Sid and his family. A little in return goes a hell of a long way.
SAFETY REVIEW COMMITTEE Recently the club had an incident in which an aircraft came down through the shade cloth into one of the pit bays. Although there was no personal injury a Safety Review Committee was established to review the event and make recommendations. The following recommendations where established
by that committee. B. The 30 Metre boundary in the Heli training area to be extended a further 10 metres taking the boundary to 40 Metres. C. The fence behind the pits from the gate extending along in front of the canteen to be raised in hight to about 2 Metres with the wire mesh extending up the fence and across over the pit shade cloth area. Enclosing those pit bays something like a hockey goal. D. All non-rated pilots when flying MUST
do so with the assistance of an experienced pilot or their Instructor
beside them at all times. This will require and amendment to the club
bylaws. MINUTES OF PRAMS GENERAL

Meeting closed at: 8.50pm COMMITTEE BYLINES Fencing and shade cloth were repaired at the last working bee. A new battery is to be purchased for the tractor. Members are asked to return empty fuel containers, specially the 4 litre ones. As mentioned in the Secretary's report the waterlogged state of the field is causing concern over the Charity Airshow. Preparations are on hold until the end of June when an inspection will be carried out and a decision will be made and announced at the club meeting on whether the Airshow will go ahead. This will hopefully save the last minute hassles we had last year! Members of Wamuran Club will
join PRAMS as of the start of the new financial year to complete the amalgamation
of the two clubs. This is in order to facilitate the acquisition of a
lease for the Uhlmann Rd field. There are still many conditions to be complied with before we can apply for the lease at Uhlmann Rd, and members of the Amalgamation Committee are actively working to satisfy these. The Safety Committee Report
was tabled and it was decided that it should be circulated for further
discussion. Forthcoming Events
